Best Student Game Homini is the graduation project of a two man team consisting of programmer Nigel Schopman and artist and designer Remi van der Meulen with help from Thymo Boog for all the audio. After working together on earlier projects they decided to team up again for their graduation project. This project started with the intention of developing it further after graduation. In only a few months time they managed to make a well-polished 20 minute demo for the game. Homini is a very relaxing game where the player has the freedom to do whatever they like. They can tend to the farm and their animals or go hunting and gathering or bond with the other tribe members. The tongue-in-cheek dialogues, the colourful art style, the relaxing and funny audio and the family-friendly gameplay combined create a great casual farmlife experience set in a prehistoric theme. The audio for Homini really accentuates the humoristic and playful aspect of the game. With funny voices and exhilarating music, it sets the tone of the game the minute you start playing.
