Grumpy Cat's Worst Game Ever has been produced together with the marketing team behind Grumpy Cat. The game went into production in September 2016. Over the course of 3 months, there was intense communication between both parties in order to deliver a product which satisfies Grumpy Cat fans at the minimum. Grumpy Cat's name, features and characteristics are registered and trademarked, meaning all aspects of the IP had to be taken into account during production.
The game was planned to be released during Christmas 2016 with other competitive mobile titles such as Mario Run, Angry Birds Blast, Hot Wheels. Our launch plan included an extensive social media plan using Grumpy Cat's social following of over 13M fans spread across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Next to that, we've made an unique Facebook Live game where people could comment on the post to influence the outcome of the game: https://goo.gl/LWPTB6 . Combining video and interactive posts on all channels, we were able to achieve more than 100K downloads per day during launch week reaching the top 10 charts worldwide, making it a very successful Christmas launch.

Best Music & Audio With a wide range of audience in mind, Max Coburn produced the chiptune-esque sounds and music that perfectly fits the theme of this game: arcade. From background music supporting the different worlds to cheerful jingles urging the player to play the mini games faster and faster, the music definitely adds an extra layer of fun to the core gameplay.
